Electrostatics experiments

Plan a ball in expanded polystyrene covered with aluminium and hang it on a support by a thin nylon yarn.

Place it between two small square or round thick papers on which you had pasted aluminium on one side.

Bring swiftly a well loaded straw : the ball goes and returns several times between the two plates.

Pull the straw : the ball resumes.
