Support :
- A used toothpaste tube,
- a plastic drinking straw (flexible),
- a few plaster,
- a container, some water and a spatula.
Electroscope :
- A glass jar with large mouth and a CD box (to replace the lid if it is metallic),
- 15 cm of rigid copper wire (section : 1 to 1.5 mm2), sheathed wire as those used in household wiring,
- 3 to 4 cm of thin copper wire (0.4 to 0.6 mm in diameter without the sheath) preferably silver plated (this wire can be derived from a multiwire cable),
- a household aluminium (aluminum) foil,
- a few pins,
- and the toothpaste tube lid.

Others :
- A paper handkerchief,
- a plastic drinking straw for negatives charges,
- a glass rod or best in plexiglas or in perspex (tradesmarks) for positives charges,
- a very thin polyamide yarn (fishing yarn or, if you are skilful, from a laddered pair of tight),
- a A4 sheet of paper,
- a few pieces of polystyrene
- and a hair drier, if the air is wet.
