Physics is a living science. Figures on the blackboard, being static, do not show how a phenomenon can develop in relation to various parameters. In particular they do not show how a diagram can vary with time. It is also very difficult to make a "3D" representation.

Using Java Applets, diagrams and sketches can be brought to life. This is an enormous help towards conceptual understanding.

The figures represented here, have been designed using the software Cabri-Geometry II, in Windows. There are two ways for you to watch them :

- Either use Cabri, a trial version of which can be downloaded. For this, call up the icon . To return, you need only reduce the Cabri page;

- or use the Java applets, by calling up the icon . There is then no need for Cabri, but you would need to navigate with a compatible navigator (Internet Explorer, Netscape 6...), and perhaps update the Java Virtual Machine.
